A vacancy has arisen for a Quality Inspector and we are looking for keen individuals to join our busy Quality Inspection Department.

All of the components we manufacture are visibly checked for accuracy of measurements, details and any flaws created by the moulding and cleaning processes we use. This can be done using the naked eye and hand-held magnification or by digital microscope and state-of-the-art visual inspection machines.

Quality inspection is the final phase of production and is critical to ensure that DP Seals operates at the highest level of certification achievable in industry today.

Skills/Requirements/Attributes:

  • Good English language skills, reading and writing skills plus simple arithmetic ability are required along with good dexterity and attention to detail.
  • Patience, good eyesight (with or without glasses) and a steady hand are essential and the ability to work to fine detail.
  • Ability to focus on fine detail looking for very small imperfections in the product.
  • A good work ethic and self-motivation is required.
  • A positive, pro-active disposition, excellent attendance and timekeeping.
  • The operator will frequently be working under time pressures but will be expected to maintain quality integrity as a priority.
  • Thoroughness and ability to concentrate on visual inspection for sustained periods.

Qualifications & Experience:

Previous experience would be advantageous but is not a requirement

Hours:

A 40 hour week composed of 8.00am to 1.00pm (30 min LUNCH) then 1.30pm to 5.30pm with a 10-minute break each half shift – Finish at 12.00 noon on Fridays.  After training overtime will be available.

Pay & Benefits:

Starting rate is £9.50 per hour. Following a successful training period, this can rise with further earnings progression toward the top rate through increased ability and personal performance.
