Whether we are producing one-off mouldings for prototypes, or multi-cavity moulds for mass production, our busy in-house tool room benefits from having the latest rubber mould tool design and production technology.
Operated by dedicated and highly trained staff all CNC machinery is directly linked to our design centre, closing the link between client engineering, drawing and custom tooling. This eliminates any area for potential error.

Increasing capacity and quality
We continually invest in new technology and have installed multiple state-of-the-art vertical machining centres (VMC) from leading manufacturers such as Mazak and XYZ. Combined with advanced CNC lathes and surface grinding machinery enabling increased capacity and the ability to manufacture tools to the highest quality and maximum tolerances achievable in our industry – and all under one roof.
With the introduction of the world class Mazak VCS 430A to our toolroom, we’ve greatly increased our in-house toolmaking capabilities. This continues our ongoing investment into future technology, maintaining our position at the forefront of our industry.

All our Toolroom Engineers and Operators receive full training on all the machinery they use including all health and safety procedures.
Filling most of the width of the end wall of our toolroom is our Sliding Head Lathe. We use this to produce all the locator pins for our tools, keeping every element of production in-house.
To complement our range of CNC machines and lathes we have a separate grinding facility maintaining all tool production in-house
Situated in our main production unit and sealed by heavy duty transparent curtains is our latest tooling storage facility
Once production is completed, tools are ultrasonically cleaned and stored in protectively sealed racking systems. These are all numbered and logged into our in-house software allowing for easy relocation when it comes to the next production run.
Cleaning and maintenance of tools both prior to and after manufacturing is highly important and our Ultrasonic cleaning tanks keep them in tip-top condition ensuring faultless production for years – even decades – to come.
